Hello Sheila,

I was curious about something you mentioned in the meeting at the MLK library. You said that you don't place a lot of stock into reincarnation and karma as they are "justice" oriented things.

Could you expand on the "justice" part a little. Why is it not so desirable? I've never heard it from this point of view before, I'm curious to hear more.

Thanks,

Paul

Hey Paul!
We had alot of deep and thought provoking ideas at our last meetup and we'll continue all those topics and more in future meetups!
In the meantime, what I meant about that particular subject is that "justice" is a human concept but not one that the universe has any use for. On the earth plane, we developed systems around justice in order to bring (supposed) order out of (supposed) chaos. Religions were developed for similar reasons. Another aspect of this is that it is all based on the concept of judgment. Again, the universe does not judge, only people judge.

Judgment is the work of the ego, the human ego...... and in my feeling and opinion, the universe does not have an ego. The universe, through nature and natural scientific laws does have a system of balance.........including yin and yang, acid and alkaline.. the tsunamis caused by shifting plates is one way that Mother Earth seeks balance.. but none of these have judgement attached. When an acid in nature is balanced by an alkaline reaction, it is not because the acid is a 'bad' substance. So it goes with people and humanity. Any act that any human does is part of the 'human condition'. We're all humans and we can't not embody the human condition. We want to eliminate murders, abuse and every other act of the ego, however that is for the ultimate survival of our species and our planet and not because of a judgement of the universe. We seek to condition our species for the survival of the whole and not just the survival of the individual which is the goal of the ego. Tribes and then countries or even political parties begin to extend ego to encompass the Us against Them as well and act according to their contained collective egos. But the universe does not deem one country bad or one political party better any more than it judges carnivores for eating other of god's creatures on this earth.
The 'goal' of all existence is homeostasis. Within our billions of people, acts create reactions and spawn countless additional acts into infinity due to the seeking of homeostasis within nature which we are a part of...
Wars are the attempt of the ego to seek power and control. This is unbalanced and will continue to spawn unbalanced reactions within our species. Many religions were founded for some of the same reasons.............an attempt to understand, to feel secure, to be 'saved' and for those within the heirarchies to be the liasons between you and the universe............ thereby gaining control.
This doesn't mean that there can be no true connection with the universe..... just the opposite. We are each connected intricately and not one more than the other.. (unless at a conscious level you give up your connection in the name of someone or something else.) It also doesn't mean that we shouldn't have reverence. I have tremendous reverence for Oneness and charity, generosity and honor of our world. It just doesn't come with a particular label that seeks to separate me from that which I am naturally a part of. Accepting or rejecting the label of sinner (or saint) is a judgement that we might entertain but the universe takes no notice of....
So there's no need to come back and redo your sins or your life because you weren't up to par the first time. The first time you were human and the second (or a different species but that's not part of this discussion) and always and we DO want to redo mistakes while we're still here in the name of preserving our species but not because we were born sinners or imperfect ............just because we're evolving out of our egos and into a consciousness of Oneness..

BTW, we DO experience past lives, parallel lives and future lives but it is all a part of accessing the collective consciousness.. we ALL have access to any life that's ever been lived..

I never looked at it in this way before (comparing it to weather).

Thanks,

Paul
