CSE is turning back time to recreate a traditional Victorian-Style séance to commemorate the anniversary of Modern Spiritualism. Relive yesteryear with live period music and truly delicious samples of food from the Victorian era.

The earliest days of Modern Spiritualism often centered around the séance table. Since that time, tradition holds that mental mediumship takes place in a home circle, while physical mediumship takes place in a séance circle. The Founders of Spiritualism explored the séance as a means of deep and profound transformation and revelation. They came from every religious denomination, united in their search for enlightenment, and preparing the world for the emergence of the Fox Sisters’ astonishing communications with Spirit.

Join us in recreating this tradition. Spiritualist Mediums will sit at every table to bring messages from the Spirit World to each participant. Mediums will dress in Victorian costume, we invite you to dress to recreate the atmosphere. click here for dress ideas.

Mediums and attendees will be given a number at the registration door, and will sit at the corresponding table number. Unfortunately, we cannot reserve a particular medium or table for you.

Attendance is limited to around 60 sitters. Register by March 21st to reserve your space. For this event, payment must be received in advance. No refunds.

(Hi Members, this is not my workshop but I put up notices of events that will interest our members. This is a great exercise in learning channeling and communication. It's been alot of fun and brought surprising results at times. If you decide to participate, you can pay at the door but do let me know if you're coming or not.)

Using the mediums of various art forms, this workshop will teach a variety of aspects and practices of spirit artistry and how they illuminate the reality of the continuation of life after the change called death.

This workshop is designed to introduce and instruct the novice and seasoned artist and medium alike, of the enlightening world and phenomena of spirit imagery through prayerful, meditative co creative artistic communication. Each participant will create their own works of spirit art and Joseph will also demonstrate spirit expressions of artwork for some of the participants during the workshop.

Joseph Shiel is an award winning teacher, a motivational lecturer, medium, spiritual counselor and chaplain, a Reiki Master, certified healer, artist, sculptor, musician, writer and poet. He has studied at Boston’s Museum of Art, Providence Museum, and Ocean City Museum. He has a philosophy degree from Boston College, attended St. Bernard’s Institute and Colgate Grozier Seminary for ministry. Joseph channels musical compositions, paintings and drawings of recognizable spirit loved ones. He also creates aura-graphs using intuitive images, color and energy while interpreting clear messages in the art forms, and he includes animal images and symbols. Joe now resides in Lily Dale, NY.

In 1991, Carl was inspired to go to China to study with the Buddhist Priests at the Shaolin Temple. While there, meditating on one of the three mountains, a small "ancient" looking monk appeared and told him of an instrument that heals by vibration and sound. He further stated that over 6,000 years ago the wise ones of the earth had mastered the art of healing with vibrations created by instruments similar to the gongs that can still be found in temples throughout the orient. However, the art of combining the harmonic energies of the instrument to heal had been lost. The ancient one offered to teach him this art if he would agree to create the instrument. He would be shown how to create the healing sound patterns that the instrument was capable of generating, and asked to serve as a teacher of this lost art in the western world..

I've been listening to his CD all week and it's mesmerizing. The shimmering and softly rhythmic sounds are penetrating with healing effects at a deep level. We will be chanting with the planet at the lunch hour on this day with group members from DC Chant & Sound meetup as well, if you'd like to join us there to prime yourself for this evening event!

I hope you are all enjoying the beginning of the Holiday season!

I have meetups lined up for us in January, February and March for our practice and discussion. We won't meet in December, so I wish all of you the Happiest of Holidays in the coming weeks!

For those of you who are interested in Natural Law and follow the Law of Attraction, the Law of Vibration or any others (there are dozens more that most people have not heard of), I thought I would post information on this workshop coming up on Saturday, December 6th at the Center for Spiritual Enlightenment.

I find Natural Law to be endlessly fascinating and will be there. I hope to see some members again and meet some of our newest members too!

Natural Law and Mediumship with Reverend Richard Schoeller

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: What is Natural Law? Why do we study it when it comes to understanding mediumship? In this three hour workshop Rev. Schoeller will help you to understand some of the basic information about Natural Law and how Natural Law is at work on both the physical and spiritual sides of life.
In addition to the basic understanding of Natural Law, Rev. Scheoller will take you through an understanding of some of the Natural Laws that govern mediumship. The workshop will be a mixture of lecture as well as experiential exercises that will help you gain a better understanding of some of the Laws of Nature.

Since the 1800's, one way those in spirit have communicated with those in this dimension is through physical phenomenon, including "table tipping." Participants will sit in a circle around a table. Hands will be lightly placed on the table and the
seance will begin with a prayer. The spirit guides of the medium will help to find the spirits who are called upon to communicate. Singing cheerful and uplifting songs helps to raise the vibration in the room. Questions will be asked after a code is established, usually "tip once for yes and twice for no." The table will begin to spin, tilt and twist about. Proof of spirit communication becomes evident as the table moves when questions are proposed and answered.

All Physical Phenomena and particularly this event requires that attendees abstain from alcohol use during the entire day of this event. Attendees must abstain from heavy meals before this event as well in order to maintain clarity of consciousness and free up their energy state.
